Secure Data Recovery & PC Transfers

Data Recovery & Transfers

There are few things more stressful than turning on your computer and realising your family photos, university assignments, or critical business documents are gone. Whether you have accidentally deleted important files, your hard drive is failing, or you simply need all your data safely migrated to a brand-new computer, we can help. We provide secure, confidential data recovery and transfer services with free door-to-door collection across New Ross, South Wexford, Waterford, and South Kilkenny.

Our Recovery & Transfer Services

How we protect and recover your digital life:

  • Failing Hard Drive & SSD Recovery: If your computer is stuck in a boot loop, running impossibly slow, or making clicking noises, your storage drive may be failing. We use specialised software to safely clone and extract your data before the drive dies completely.
  • Dead Computer Data Rescue: Did your laptop suffer severe liquid damage or a dead motherboard? In most cases, the internal storage drive is still perfectly fine. We can safely remove the drive and extract your files to a secure external USB.
  • Accidental Deletion & Formatting: Accidentally emptied the recycle bin or formatted the wrong drive? Stop using the device immediately. We can scan the raw sectors of your drive to recover deleted photos and documents.
  • External USB & Flash Drive Recovery: We recover files from unrecognised, corrupted, or physically damaged external USB hard drives, flash drives, and camera SD cards.
  • Seamless New PC Transfers: Bought a new laptop? We take the headache out of the upgrade by securely transferring all your documents, photos, browser bookmarks, and settings from your old machine to the new one so it feels exactly like home.
  • Secure Drive Wiping: Planning to sell, donate, or recycle an old computer? Do not just drag your files to the recycling bin—they can still be recovered. We perform military-grade data destruction to wipe your hard drives completely blank, ensuring your personal information cannot be stolen.

The Workshop Process

How to get your files back safely:

  • Stop & Power Down: If you suspect data loss or hear a clicking noise, turn the computer off immediately. Continuing to use the device can permanently overwrite deleted files or further damage a failing drive.
  • Free Local Collection: Don’t try to force the machine to boot. We will collect the device directly from your door to ensure the drive is not subjected to further stress.
  • The Extraction: We take the hardware to the bench and use specialized tools to safely read and extract your files without putting further stress on the drive.
  • Secure Handover: We return your rescued files on a new, secure external drive or transfer them directly to your new computer. We guarantee 100% data privacy throughout the entire process.

Data Recovery & Transfer FAQs

Because data loss scenarios vary wildly, no reputable technician can guarantee a 100% recovery rate before diagnosing the drive. However, if the drive is still spinning and hasn’t suffered catastrophic physical platter damage, our success rate for retrieving documents and photos using professional recovery software is incredibly high.

Absolutely. We are fully GDPR compliant, and your privacy is our highest priority. We do not open or view your personal files beyond verifying that the file types (like a JPEG or PDF) open correctly and are not corrupted. Once you confirm you have your recovered data, any temporary clones we created on our bench are securely and permanently wiped.

A rhythmic clicking or grinding noise indicates a severe mechanical failure inside a traditional hard drive (the read/write head is likely crashing). Turn the computer off immediately and do not plug it back in. Repeatedly trying to boot a clicking drive can permanently scrape the data off the internal disks, making recovery impossible.

For a standard data transfer to a new machine, we typically have your new laptop or PC fully set up, updated, and loaded with your old files within 24 to 48 hours of collection.
